Registration and Tryouts- Why am I asked for my birth date when filling in my main contact information?
This is strictly for security purposes. Your birth date is used during the password recovery process. It is treated as confidential information and cannot be viewed by any administrator.

- I forgot my password. How do I find it?
Click on the “
Forgot your password” link located on the User ID and Password page. You will be asked to complete a few simple questions to verify your identity. The password will be emailed to you.
- How will I receive my password if my email address has changed from last year?
You will have a chance to edit your email address during the Password Recovery process outlined above.
- Is there a way of changing my password?
Yes. You may edit your password by clicking on the “Change your Password” link located under “Other Options” on your main Family Profile. You may access your Family Profile by entering your existing email address and Password after clicking the Registration button on our website.
- I just received my credit card statement and there was an entry of Canadian Athletic Club. Was this for registration?
Yes. Hockey Canada is our official online registration provider. Canadian Athletic Club utilizes Hockey Canada credit card processing service in order to collect online transactions.
- I could not print my invoice/confirmation page. Is there a way of printing my invoice after I have already registered?
Yes. If you log back into the Online Registration site, you will receive a listing of all of your Registrants and you will be given the option to view and print the receipts from there.
- I chose cheque payment when I registered. I have changed my mind; I would rather pay by online credit card. How do I do this?
You can’t. You will have to contact the CAC office and get them to delete the pre-registration and Order for you. You will have to re-create the registration again with the proper payment option.

- Can I pay in installments?
Not on-line. You must pay in full if you choose the online credit card payment option.
- How do I know my registration is confirmed?
When you submit your registration form on line, you will receive an email. This email will be a copy of your invoice or payment confirmation. A second e-mail or a phone call will follow with your official confirmation of acceptance into Canadian Athletic Club. You can print this email on your computer and keep it for your records. If you do not have an email address, then you will receive a phone call.
- How will I know if my child has been accepted to play this year?
Once you are registered for tryouts The Canadian Athletic Club will put the player in a tryout camp and you can log on to the CAC website
http://www.cac-hockey.com to locate tryout dates/time and what camp your player will be in. The camp lists are on-line in August.
- When do I need to register my child for the next hockey season to be eligible for the early bird discount?
Anytime before April 30th, you can register your child on line for next years hockey season to be eligible for the early bird discount and secure your current spot with the Canadian Athletic Club.
For all registration costs, please see program information for tryouts. After April 30th late tryout fees will be applied (an additional $75.00).
If you are successful and make a CAC team registration costs for the current season will be on the website in early July for the upcoming hockey season.
- I am moving to a new home. What address do I put on the form if we have not moved yet?
Please use your new address when registering. If you do not have your new phone number as yet - put in the phone number you have now and email
cacarena@telusplanet.net with your new phone number. It is the member’s responsibility to notify the hockey office in the event of move or contact information needs to be updated. Proof of residency plus a photocopy of your Driver’s License as well as as a copy of a Utility Bill with your current address.
Teams- When will I be contacted as to what team my child is on?
Everyone should be contacted after the Bantam and Midget drafts have been completed. If you have not been contacted following the draft date, please email
cacarena@telusplanet.net or call the office, with your child’s name, age and your phone number. Or leave the same information at the CAC Office at 780-439-3636.
- When does the hockey season start?
Leagues have different start dates. Keep an eye on the website for schedules and firm dates.
- Can I specify a certain coach or team that I want my child to play for?
No. CAC coaches draft their players onto teams and that is where they will play.
- Can I request that my child play with his friend for car-pooling purposes?
No, but CAC will assist you to resolve these types of issues.
- How will I find out my child's league schedule?
Schedules will be posted on our web site as soon as we have received them from the various leagues within AA Council. They will also be provided by Team Managers/Coaches
- CAC participates in the AA Council Player Draft. It is recommended that all players and parents make themselves familiar with this process. Click here for information.

Coaching Application Form must be filled out completely and returned to the Canadian Athletic Club Office e-mailed at
